As an artist, I’m always learning, adapting, and evolving. Every wedding I film shapes me in a different way—technically, creatively… even emotionally. But every now and then, a project arrives that aligns so naturally with my instincts that it feels less like “work” and more like a collaboration between myself, the couple, and the environment around us.
This is one of those films.
What makes a “best” wedding film is never about having the most expensive décor, the most dramatic location, or the most elaborate timeline. For me, it’s always about something deeper:
story, access, and trust.
When a couple invites me not just to document their day but to interpret it—to feel the energy, to anticipate the unscripted moments, to follow the emotional throughline rather than the timeline—that is when I’m able to do my best work.
In this film for Erin & Justin, the ingredients aligned perfectly:
Every wedding has beauty, but some have a kind of effortless magnetism—the kind that pulls me into the moment instead of chasing after it. That’s what happened here.
I leaned heavily into intuition.
Into the quiet gestures.
Into having fun with the editing in post-production.
And technically, this film became a milestone for me. I pushed into new pacing choices, experimented more boldly with layering sound design and digital footage, and trusted my editing instincts in ways that felt honest. The result is a film that feels alive—less like documentation and more like a memory unfolding in real time.
My best work always comes when I let go of perfection and follow connection instead.
When I’m not just recording images, but translating feeling.
When I stop worrying about trends and trust my own vision.
This film reminded me of why I do what I do.
Why storytelling matters.
Why presence matters.
Why having a couple who trusts the process is everything.
It’s my best wedding film—not because it’s flawless, but because it feels true.
And that’s what I will always chase:
the truth, the feeling, and the humanness at the heart of every celebration.
